PHYSICALS, REPORT CARDS & EQUIPMENT HAND_OUT

As a reminder, physicals and player report cards are due ON July 12th (equipment hand-out). Please also be reminded that all financial obligations or missing paperwork must be brought with you on this day or you will not be given any equipment. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you on the 12th!

Preseason Training

Velocity Sports Performance is putting on Official Pre-Season Training at their Carlsbad Training Center.
Your CPW Board of Directors has negotiated discounted rates for all Pop Warner players. We encourage those of you in town to check it out!

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays in July
2-3pm

Who: All CPW tackle players
Jr. Mity Mite - Midget

How much: $25 per training session for drop in athletes. Although no pre-registration is required, we encourage you to call Velocity at 760-444-0100 to confirm that space is available (group size is very limited to insure coaching quality).

Early Bird Discount:

1 Week (2 sessions) $40
2 Weeks (4 sessions) $70
3 Weeks (6 sessions) $100
4 Weeks (8 sessions) $120

* Velocity Sports Performance will call all CPW athletes to confirm their registration and schedule them into age appropriate groups for the weeks you’d like to participate. There will not be make- up sessions offered for this special program.

Welcome to Carlsbad Pop Warner 2008 Season

Dear Carlsbad Pop Warner families:

As we head into the 2008 season of Carlsbad Pop Warner Football and Cheer, I would like to welcome you and personally invite you to get involved volunteering in any way possible. Our program is only as successful as its volunteers - and that means YOU! I cannot think of a better way to spend quality time with your children, and getting to know their friends and parents in the process. The volunteer opportunities are numerous, and the rewards are even greater. As I head into my 5th year with CPW, I am so grateful for the many friends that my children and I have made through Pop Warner and our involvement in it. I am proud to be a part of CPW and look forward to another great season!

One of our primary goals for this year is to improve communications between the CPW Board, Coaching Staff and the families of Carlsbad Pop Warner. Our Website continues to be the most cost effective and efficient way to share important information, so please check it often for updates and announcements. We have made some exciting changes and added a Frequently Asked Questions section that may answer many of your questions. Another goal is to continue to provide an environment that stresses the importance of academic achievement along with athletic excellence, and to teach our children the value of good sportsmanship, not only through our words, but by our own actions. In summary, Carlsbad Pop Warner aims to provide a quality youth sports program, providing each child with a fun, enriching experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Please take a moment to read through the Information Booklet and get acquainted with Carlsbad Pop Warner’s policies and procedures. We value your opinion and encourage you to share any ideas that you may have to improve our program for the children in our community.
