Friday Nights @ Velocity Sports

Velocity Sports Performance will offer drop-in sessions every Friday night.

• Open to all Carlsbad Pop Warner Players
• 6:00pm-7:30pm
• Just $15 per session

Friday Night Drop-in Sessions at Velocity will offer tips on starts for the 40yd sprint, running a pro-agility drill, and technique training for all the drills at this years CPW player evaluations which were conducted by Velocity Sports Performance. Stop in for just one or catch them all to maximize your sons’ performance.

A Young Heart Lost

Dear CPW Families,

It is with great sadness to inform you that our community and a member of our Pop Warner family has suffered a terrible loss.

On Tuesday the 29th, the Siaosi family suffered a tragic loss - their young son Derek, who was just 2 1/2 years old, was hit by a car and passed away. As you can imagine Fred, Laura and the boys are devastated, Please keep them in your prayers through this very difficult time.

Funeral services for Derek will be held on Monday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - corner of Chestnut and Monroe. Derek's favorite colors were blue and orange and the family has encouraged wearing these colors as a symbol of your love for little "D-Rock".

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Siaosi Family.

Welcome to Carlsbad Pop Warner 2008 Season

Dear Carlsbad Pop Warner families:

As we head into the 2008 season of Carlsbad Pop Warner Football and Cheer, I would like to welcome you and personally invite you to get involved volunteering in any way possible. Our program is only as successful as its volunteers - and that means YOU! I cannot think of a better way to spend quality time with your children, and getting to know their friends and parents in the process. The volunteer opportunities are numerous, and the rewards are even greater. As I head into my 5th year with CPW, I am so grateful for the many friends that my children and I have made through Pop Warner and our involvement in it. I am proud to be a part of CPW and look forward to another great season!

One of our primary goals for this year is to improve communications between the CPW Board, Coaching Staff and the families of Carlsbad Pop Warner. Our Website continues to be the most cost effective and efficient way to share important information, so please check it often for updates and announcements. We have made some exciting changes and added a Frequently Asked Questions section that may answer many of your questions. Another goal is to continue to provide an environment that stresses the importance of academic achievement along with athletic excellence, and to teach our children the value of good sportsmanship, not only through our words, but by our own actions. In summary, Carlsbad Pop Warner aims to provide a quality youth sports program, providing each child with a fun, enriching experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Please take a moment to read through the Information Booklet and get acquainted with Carlsbad Pop Warner’s policies and procedures. We value your opinion and encourage you to share any ideas that you may have to improve our program for the children in our community.
